The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley proudly announces that professional bass angler Ott DeFoe will be honored as Pro Athlete of the Year at the 36th Annual Greater Knoxville Sports Hall of Fame Dinner and Induction Ceremony.
The dinner and induction ceremony is set for Thursday, August 3 at the Knoxville Convention Center. Guest speaker is Inky Johnson, University of Tennessee football legend and motivational speaker.
DeFoe has fished professionally in 85 tournaments. He has won three tournaments, placed second three times and third twice. DeFoe has been a top 10 finisher in 24 tournament and a top 20 finisher in 44 events. DeFoe lives in Knoxville with his wife, Jennie, and their children Abbie, Parker and Lizzie.
Tickets for the Greater Knoxville Sports Hall of Fame Dinner and Induction Ceremony are $150 each or $1,400 for a table of 10 and can be purchased at www.gkshof.org.
