Jim Wyatt, The Tennessean--- Titans receiver Justin Hunter knew Friday was his day to sign autographs after practice.

He had no idea he'd be involved in a wedding proposal.

But that's exactly what happened Friday at Saint Thomas Sports Park when Hunter was on the fence line signing autographs and taking pictures with fans.

At one point, a male fan asked the former University of Tennessee star if he'd get the attention of his girlfriend so he could surprise her with a question.

"He said, 'Hey Justin, help me call my girlfriend's name so I can propose.' He wanted me to bring her over there," Hunter recalled on Saturday night.

Hunter obliged. And it was mission accomplished. The next thing he knew, the fan was proposing to his girlfriend. Hunter said he'd never met the two before and doesn't remember either of their names.

"I'd never seen anyone propose in front of me, ever,'' Hunter said. "And I'm not sure why they picked me (to do it). I guess I was just around at the time."

So, what was the answer?

"She was speechless,'' Hunter said. "But she said yes. It was pretty crazy."
