Daytona International Speedway announced that VFL Peyton Manning will be the honorary pace car driver during the 60th running of the Daytona 500.

The Daytona 500 on Sunday is the opening event for the NASCAR season.

“Serving as the Honorary Pace Car Driver will be a truly unique and exciting experience,” Manning said. “I want to thank NASCAR, Daytona International Speedway and Nationwide for making this possible. I’m really looking forward to race day.”

Manning played for the Vols from 1994 to 1997 and played in the NFL for 18 years before retiring after winning the Super Bowl in 2015.
