Jacob Bunch, Grainger: Junior running back rushed for 190 yards and two touchdowns, caught a 17-yard TD pass and converted three 2-point conversions in a 38-17 win over Seymour.

Darius Harper, Austin-East: Senior quarterback completed 14 of 17 passes for 311 yards and four touchdowns in a 40-0 win over Rockwood.

Joe Renfro, Gatlinburg-Pittman: Junior kicker’s 35-yard field goal in overtime pushed the Highlanders past previously unbeaten Happy Valley 25-22 and into a three-way tie atop Region 2-2A.

Cole Smith, CAK: Senior quarterback completed 12 of 20 passes for 174 yards and four touchdowns, setting the state’s career passing record with 11,032 yards in a 42-27 win over McMinn Central.


Ellis Chapman, Hardin Valley: Senior defensive tackle keyed Hawks defensive intensity in a 14-13 win over previously unbeaten Bradley Central. He made 14 tackles, including two tackles for loss, a sack and a forced safety. He also broke up a pass.

Cole Lusby, The King’s Academy: Junior linebacker made 34 tackles (22 solo) in a 40-34 win over Mt. Juliet Christian. Two of his tackles were for loss.

Ryan Medders, Grace Christian: Junior middle linebacker forced a fumble and returned one 43 yards for a touchdown in a 55-0 win over Sweetwater. Also made five tackles, including two for loss.

Ruston Rigney, Morristown East: Junior defensive back tied program single-game record with three interceptions in a 31-14 win over David Crockett. He also made six tackles.
