WBIR Helmet Stickers: Round 2 of Playoffs

We've got winners from Oak Ridge, South-Doyle, Knoxville Catholic and Rockwood.

We're starting a new tradition at WBIR. Each week during high school football season, the WBIR 10Sports team will hand out four helmet stickers to some of the top performers in East Tennessee. The winners will be recognized at the end of our Friday night football show "PrepXtra." We will also mail a WBIR helmet sticker to each of the winners.

Playoffs, Round 2

Patrick's Helmet Sticker: Johnny Stewart, Oak Ridge

Stewart is now the single-season passing leader for the Wildcats. His 88 on Friday passed Connor Gulmire's 1855 from 2005. Gulmire led the Wildcats to the state championship game that season. It's Stewart's turn now. He'll have a loaded Knoxville Catholic team standing in his way next Friday. This sticker could also go to Kai'Reese Pendergrass, who broke tackles and refused to go down on a 63-yard touchdown reception from Stewart on Friday; that was the decisive blow in Oak Ridge's win over West.

Chierstin's Helmet Sticker: DaShon Bussell, Catholic

The Western Michigan commit had six carries for 125 yards and two touchdowns, while making two catches for 73 yards and another touchdown. Catholic will host Oak Ridge for the first time ever next Friday.

Luke's Helmet Sticker: Joe Ashburn, Rockwood

Shout out to my Roane County boys. Ashburn carried the rock five times for 133 yards and two touchdowns in the Tigers' 29-20 win over Sullivan North. Hopefully the senior can repeat his performance when Rockwood travels to Meigs County next Friday.

Louis' Helmet Sticker: Elijah Young, South-Doyle

Young rushed for 193 yards and a touchdown while making five catches for 88 yards. The Cherokees topped Halls, 31-28, and will host Central next week.
