Knoxville — WBIR learned Wednesday evening that Tennessee was closing in on a deal with Alabama defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt. That news was confirmed to WBIR Thursday morning.

The 43-year-old Pruitt, a two-time Broyles Award finalist, carries an impressive resume that includes stops at Alabama, Florida State, and Georgia. He is expected to be introduced at a press conference later today.
