We start the weekend off in Gatlinburg with over 75 exotic cars including Vipers, Lamborghinis, Ferraris and more. The Alabama-Tennessee Viper Club Car Rally is free and culminates with a parade Saturday at 6:15 pm.

"American Idol" contestant Johnny Newcomb and his band, The 8Bits, will be rocking Blount County campus of Pellissiippi State. Catch the show Friday night for free. The event kicks off at 6:30 pm.

The Museum of Appalachia will host its second annual Barn Dance. The evening will include horse drawn wagon rides, food, music and much more. Swing on by Friday night.

The second annual Rocky Top Hummin' & Strummin' BBQ cook off is back at the Episcopal School of Knoxville. Friday and Saturday, enjoy 7 bands and great food, always a winning combination.

Fanboy Expo has something for everyone. It's your one stop spot for rare collectibles, comics, toys and a stellar celebrity line up. Spock is even going to be there via Skype! The event runs all weekend at the Knoxville Convention Center.

Head downtown for the Powerboat Superleague. See some high speed nautical awesomeness at Volunteer Landing Saturday and Sunday and it's free.

Saturday is your chance to travel back in time. The Three Rivers Rambler will make a special trip to the Ramsey House for a vintage baseball game. Attendance to the game is free.

Also Saturday, Butch Jones and his wife will host a fun filled football day exclusively for women. The Butch & Barb's Women's Football 101 event kicks off at 3:00 pm at the Anderson Training Center. Find out more at www.volsconnect.com.

Historic Cherokee Caverns will be open Saturday for Old Fashioned Lantern Tours. Enjoy some cool temps under ground on this fun, family experience. The cave will be open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

And don't forget that Sunday is Statehood Day. Show Tennessee some love by swinging by one of its many historical sites; Blount Mansion, James White Fort, the Mabry Hazen House just to name a few. Admission on Saturday is free.
