A rundown of this weekend's events in East Tennessee.

You can "Bring on the Blooms" on Thursday. The folks with Dogwood Arts and Stanley's Greenhouse will host an informational workshop on how to ensure beautiful blooms in the Spring. It starts at 5:30 p.m. 
 
"BOO! at the Zoo" returns Thursday through Sunday. There will be 12 nights of safe and not-too-scary Halloween fun at Zoo Knoxville. Kids can grab some candy, dance and ride the haunted carousel starting at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. 
 
It's time for "Music in the Middle" at the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center on Friday. The cost is $8, and the fun starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the door. 
 
The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra's News Sentinel Pops Series kicks off on Friday with "Pet Sounds Live: A Beach Boys Celebration." The event starts at 8 p.m. at the Tennessee Theatre. Tickets range in price. 
 
The annual "Race for the Summitt 4-Miler" is on Saturday at the University of Tennessee. The race benefits the Pat Summitt Foundation. It starts at 9 a.m. You can register on or before race day. 
 
You have two chances to add plants to your landscape this weekend. The UT Arboretum and the UT Gardens will host their fall plant sales on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at their Knoxville and Oak Ridge locations. 
 
Head to Lafollette on Saturday for a Fall Festival. There will be food and craft vendors, along with a chance to ride ATVs. The festival lasts from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. 
 
Brewers' Jam returns to Knoxville on Saturday. Proceeds will benefit Community Shares of Tennessee. More than 50 brewers will serve up samples of their craft beers in Worlds Fair Park. Live music starts at 1 p.m. Tickets range in price.
 
The Pigeon Forge Fire Department will hold a Safety Day at The Island on Saturday. There will be seat inspections, a bike rodeo and more. It lasts from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
 
The Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the Smoky Mountains Astronomical Society will offer a stargazing program in Cades Cove on Saturday. There will be experienced astronomers and telescopes on hand for you. It starts at 7:30 p.m. 
 
The Grove Theater in Oak Ridge will host R&M Tribute Entertainment on Saturday. Tickets for adults are $15.00, and the shows start at 7:30 p.m. 
 
Head to the Museum of Appalachia any day this weekend for their annual Fall Homecoming. Musicians will perform bluegrass, gospel, folk and more. Guests can also enjoy some Appalachian dancing, demonstrations and artisan crafts. Tickets are available at the gate. 
 
The Tiny House Expo will be at the Sevierville Convention Center all weekend. Come view finished models and talk to builders. It starts on Friday at noon.
 
The Parade of Homes continues this weekend. The event offers the opportunity to visit new homes in Knox and the surrounding counties. Builders and representatives will be on hand to answer questions. You can find more information here.
