A rundown of the weekend events in East Tennessee.

Food City Race Night is Thursday at the Knoxville Expo Center. There will be free food sampling, show cars and racing simulators. Tickets are $5 at Food City or $6 at the door. It lasts from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Head to the Historic Southern Railway Station for the Food Truck Park on Thursday. There will be food, a Farmers Market, music and more. Admission is free. It starts at 6 p.m.

Cedar Lane United Methodist Church will host a concert on Thursday. Cansas Dowell will join other musicians to help raise money for The Great Strides Walk for Cystic Fibrosis. The concert starts at 8:30 p.m. 

The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra will perform at the Tennessee Theatre on Thursday and Friday. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets range in price.

Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies will partner with Autism Site Knoxville for Autism Family Day on Saturday. The Aquarium is opening early with all background music turned off. It lasts from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. 

The Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association of East Tennessee will hold a scavenger hunt ride and auction on Saturday. The event will raise money to provide boots for homeless veterans.  Sign-ups for the ride begin at Rocky Top Harley-Davidson in Pigeon Forge at 9 a.m. The cost is $25 for single riders and $30 for double riders or cars. 

Take your kids to Zoo Knoxville on Saturday to see Daniel Tiger from PBS. There will be a meet and greet, photo opportunities and more. It starts at 10 a.m. Tickets are included with your general admission to the zoo. 

The Museum of Appalachia will host their annual Sheep Shearing Day on Friday. The staff will trim the wool from their flock, and there will be demonstrations, music and more. It lasts from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The White Pine School PTO will host a craft fair on Saturday to raise money for a new gym floor. There will be kid activities, crafts, home décor and more. It lasts from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

The Knoxville Opera celebrates the arts through music, dance, food and more on Saturday at the Rossini Festival. The international street fair fills Gay Street from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.  

Young Williams Animal Center will partner with The Pinnacle in Turkey Creek for the first "Fido Fest" on Saturday. There will be a pet photo booth, kids' activities, live entertainment and more. The event is free. It starts at 11 a.m. 

Football fans get their first taste of football at the Spring Orange and White Game on Saturday. It starts at 4 p.m. in Neyland Stadium. 

Fine Arts Blount will have their annual Kite Festival on Sunday at Pearson Springs Park. There will be kites sold for painting and flying, music, art and more. The fun starts at 10 a.m. 

The NASCAR Spring Race is on Sunday at Bristol Motor Speedway. The Food City 500 starts at 2 p.m. at the Last Great Colosseum. 

The choral department of South-Doyle High School will perform Disney's Beauty and the Beast all weekend. Show times are Thursday and Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for children 5 and under.
