24 hours of respect flag retirement ceremony

KNOXVILLE, TENNESSEE - Boy Scouts from across East Tennessee will conduct a ceremony to properly retire American flags for a full twenty-four hours.
The ceremony will take place at the Tennessee Valley Fair at 3301 E Magnolia Ave, Knoxville, TN 37914.
It will start at 11:59 p.m. on September 10, 2016 and will continue for 24 hours, ending at 11:59 on September 11, 2016.
Citizens with flags to retire may bring them to the ceremony at the fair. You can also drop them off at a designated area which is accessible 24 hours a day at the The Great Smoky Mountain Council of the Boy Scouts of America office at 1333 Old Weisgarber Road, Knoxville, TN  37909.
Knox County has also been collecting flags and scouts will help retire and dispose of those as well.  The flags will be incinerated as part of the retirement.
