Candlelight Christmas Tour at the Museum of Appalachia


This weekend you can experience an Appalachian Christmas at the Museum of Appalachia.

The Candlelight Christmas Tour is Friday and Saturday December 2 and 3 from 5:00 to 8:00.

Visitors will tour selected cabins in the Museum village by candlelight, enjoy Christmas storytelling, drink hot apple cider, sing carols in the Irwin Chapel, visit with Museum animals, and make Appalachian ornaments.

The event also features a live Nativity scene Friday night with animals from Little Ponderosa Zoo.

There will be musicians performing as well as spinning and weaving demonstrations, candle-dipping, cooking demonstrations, blacksmithing, sassafras tea-making, and lots of holiday craft activities for kids!.

The Museum Restaurant will also be open.

Be sure to bring a flashlight!

Adults - $10
Youth (13-17) - $5
Children (5-12) - $3
Family Rate - $25
Members - Free


The Shop at the Museum of Appalachia will host an Open House all-day Saturday, December 3.
