Concert benefits local food banks

(WBIR) Country music stars, including The Band Perry, Rascal Flatts, Florida-Georgia Line, and Justin Moore, took the stage Friday night to raise money for food banks like Second Harvest. The concert, Outnumber Hunger, was a partnership between General Mills and our parent company Gannett.

Together we can help stomp out hunger in America. Hunger is a big problem even right here in the U.S. Right now, hunger is a reality for one in six Americans. Nearly 13 million families go to bed hungry every night, but there's a way you can help. All you have to do is purchase specially marked General Mills products and enter codes from these packages on Outnumber Hunger's website ( Each code you enter will help Feeding America secure five meals for your local food bank - it's that easy.

Plus, there are other ways to help: you can donate directly to Feeding America; you can volunteer at your local food bank; you can follow Outnumber Hunger on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram; you can follow Big Machine Record's artists to see what they're doing to stop hunger.
