Tennessee singer plans to charm London crowds

(WBIR-Knoxville, Tenn.) Look out, country music industry! Singer/songwriter Kata Hay is fearless.

The Sevier County woman already lights up the stage at Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Show in Pigeon Forge. The singer's husband, Robbie Helton, plays bass. That's the couple's night job. During the day, they build the Kata Hay brand.

Hay's YouTube channel boasts music videos and video blogs. She used YouTube to tell fans she had planned a music tour in the United Kingdom. "Kata Hay in the U.K." runs from March 17 to March 30. Hay will perform a string of shows at different venues in and around London.

"We both enter places like a bull in a china closet," Kata Hay said. "I think they'll find us entertaining. We are like Ozzy Osbourne going over there. They may not understand anything we say but because of how we're saying it they'll find it funny. It will be good."

Her sight is set on Nashville although London is her current destination.

"I love getting really personal and sharing who I am through my songs. I'm hoping to get my music out there. Hopefully people can relate to my story and it will touch people on the other side of the ocean," Hay told WBIR-TV's Stoney Sharp.
