Recent state and federal funding cuts put a burden on a Knox County program providing free flu vaccines to students.

Now the county is getting a boost. Walgreens is donating 3,000 flu vaccinations to area high school students. That's worth $100,000.

All students have to do is visit a local Walgreens.

In the past, high schools have not been a part of Knox County's in-school clinic program because of a lack of resources.

Now, this donation will help benefit older students.
