Crews in Mt. Juliet, Tenn. safely rescued a horse named Boomer after he fell into a sinkhole earlier this morning.
WEMA units tried to free the trapped animal for hours. A veterinarian and a
wrecking service were called to the scene off Nonaville Road.
"It's kind of complicated," said WEMA dispatcher Adam Spears.
The wrecking service used a harness to lift Boomer out of the hole.
The 10-foot sinkhole is on a sprawling piece of land surrounding a gated ranch. Media was not allowed on the property.
