Apple Dumplings

6 granny smith apples - cored

3 tablespoons raisins

3 tablespoons chopped pecans

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon mace

pie crust dough

2 cups brown sugar

1 cup water

Mix raisins, pecans, & spices together. Roll pie dough in 3" squares. Put a cored apple in the middle of a dough square, fill with raisin & pecan mixture; wrap dough around apple and place in a baking pan. Cook brown sugar & water & bring to a boil & pour over dumplings. Bake @ 350 degrees for 50 - 60 minutes basting dumplings every 10 minutes.
