½ stick unsalted butter
1 ½ ounces unsweetened baking chocolate
1 cup sugar
¼ cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons milk
Butter a 9-inch pie plate. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a small bowl, melt butter and chocolate in the microwave. Cook's note: Watch carefully. The butter will melt before the chocolate. Remove bowl from the microwave when the butter is bubbly. It will continue to melt the chocolate. '
In a medium bowl, whisk together the sugar and flour. Add eggs, vanilla and milk and beat well. Stir in melted butter mixture. Bake about 25 minutes or until the center is firm to the touch. Serve warm with whipped cream, ice cream drizzled with warm chocolate sauce and sprinkled with chopped nuts. Or, you can just cut it up and eat it right of the dish like I do.
