Recipe created for BUSH’S® Beans
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 25 minutes
1 pound ground beef
½ cup green bell pepper, chopped
½ cup white onion, chopped
1 can (16 ounce) BUSH’S® Chili Beans, Pinto, undrained
1 can (16 ounce) BUSH’S® Chili Beans, Kidney, undrained
1 can (14.5 ounce) petite diced tomatoes, undrained
1 can (15 ounce) tomato sauce
½ cup water
1 package original chili seasoning
½ teaspoon cumin
Tip: Beef broth can be substitute for water.
1. In a large pan, brown the ground beef over medium high heat.
2. Once the meat has browned, add the chopped peppers and onions and cook for 3-5 minutes. Drain excess grease.
3. Stir in the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 20 minutes.
4. Optional garnishes include: shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, fresh diced tomatoes, and fresh onions.
