Caramel Apple Scone


3 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup sour cream
1/3 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 apple, grated with skin
3 tbsp. Crisco
3 tbsp. butter, diced

Caramel dip:

2 tbsp. caramel dip
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp. water


Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Mix dry ingredients until evenly distributed. Crumble in butter and Crisco. Well out and add sour cream and milk. Combine. Dump mixture on floured surface and divide in half. Make 2 round discs of dough. Cut 8 triangles out of each disc. Place on a butter and floured baking sheet. Bake at 425 for 12 minutes.
