1 pound breakfast sausage, any flavor ( I use mild)
8 oz. cream cheese
4 oz. shredded cheddar (1 cup)
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
2 cups baking mix (like Bisquick-- gluten free may be substituted, but decrease to 1&1/2 cups)
Mix cream cheese to soften, add sausage, cheddar, garlic powder and baking mix. Combine until everything is incorporated. Make 1 inch balls and place on parchment lined baking sheet.
Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Makes approximately 36 1" balls.
Serve plain or with your favorite dipping sauce. Dipping sauce ideas: Frank's sweet chili sauce, honey mustard, BBQ sauce, Hot sauce.
