German Wilted Salad


1 Head Iceberg Lettuce, washed and chopped
24 oz Sour cream
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup red onion thinly sliced
1/2 cup red wine vinegar
2 scallions diced
1 lb. diced bacon
4 hard boiled eggs
1 lemon


In medium bowl, mix onions, sour cream, sugar, vinegar and lemon juice.  Cover and store in refrigerator over night.  Wash and chop lettuce.  Toss lettuce in dressing and place in serving bowl.  In skillet cook bacon over medium heat until crisp.  Pour bacon over salad.  Top with scallions and hard boiled egg.  Serve warm.
