1 medium baking potato, thinly sliced, per serving
1 large onion, thinly sliced
1 stick butter, approximately
1 1/2 cups half and half, approximately
Salt to taste
Swiss cheese slices to completely cover the top.
Preheat oven to 425°. Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with Pam. Layer one third of the potatoes in the prepared pan. Layer one third of the onions over the potatoes. Season lightly. Continue to layer and season the remaining ingredients in thirds. Dot with butter. Pour half and half over all. Cover loosely with foil. Bake until potatoes are tender. Remove foil. Top with slices of Swiss cheese. Bake until golden.
