Ga. sheriff cancels Valentine's Day because of weather

(WBIR) Hate Valentine's Day? Well a Georgia sheriff may be on your side during what some call one of the most inauthentic holiday of the year.

The Oconee County Sheriff's Office straight up cancelled Valentine's Day because of the weather. On Thursday, the department posted on it's Facebook page that it designated a "No Valentine's Day Zone" from north of I-16 to the Georgia Tennessee border.

The tongue-in-cheek post writes men are "exempt from having to run out and buy lottery scratchers and Hershey bars from the corner stores until February 18, 2014, due to ice, snow, freezing rain."
