Usually egg races and horses don't go into the same sentence, until now.

This weekend there will be a fundraiser that is sure to amuse at the Cedar Valley Farm in Seymour. The fundraiser is to benefit Horse Haven.

Many local riders decided to use their equine partners to help the less fortunate horses that have been left behind or just mistreated.

I went out to Merry Hour Farm to meet some of the "competitors" while they rode dressage around the farm and they explained that "horses are harder to take care of and find homes for" and they are "thankful we have one in this vicinity."

So the riders will saddle up Saturday and let the games begin. Egg and spoon relay, panty hose relay and yes, musical chairs, one would think it would be musical saddles.

It is too late to enter this year's games, but I'll bet you can start training for next year. They do welcome you out to the farm to watch the races, and please if you take some pictures, we've got to see this!
