The Donut Friar in Downtown Gatlinburg is preparing for a busy weekend with the Gatlinburg Parade just one day away.
The Donut Friar has been open and in its original location since 1969.
They serve everything from cinnamon rolls to coffee to, of course, donuts.
Kevin Ryan's father started the Donut Friar and the family still runs it.
Friday they will triple the amount of sweet treats they make, anticipating large crowds for the holidays.
Donut Friar employee, Jason Jain, said, "Today we will start making a little extra icing and glaze. We will probably go through a hundred pounds today and tomorrow of each, so we will be making quite a bit. So, the amount of donuts you see today will be three times that tomorrow and Saturday might be four times."
The Donut Friar opens at 5:00 a.m. and stays open until 9:00 p.m. or 10:00 p.m. every night.
Ryan gets there at 1:30 a.m. every day to make the donuts from scratch with the family's recipe.
