Inaugural Knoxville Film Fest kicks off

Knoxville's inaugural film fest kicked off Thursday at the Downtown West Cinema.

The Dogwood Arts, Regal Cinemas, and Secret City Films have teamed up for the Knoxville Film Fest.

The four-day festival will feature 75 independent films including feature films, documentaries, and short films. The festival also features a student competition and a seven-day shoot. Twenty-five teams will get seven days to make a seven-minute movie.

Tickets are available for purchase at and at Downtown West Regal Cinema 8 during the festival. Please keep in mind that there are limited numbers of all tickets available.
