The Heartland Series was conceived in 1984 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and continues to celebrate the people and the land of the entire Appalachian region. Bill Landry has been host for the entire run of the series.

Often these days,  the news leaves us feeling a bit down. At times, so do Sports and Weather. That’s where “Positively Schwall” comes in. Sometimes we just need a smile. For the past 11 years, Ken Schwall has hosted "Positively Schwall," a segment of 10News that gives viewers an entertaining look at people, places, and events in the surrounding community.

Monday's Child began on the first Monday of May in 1980 profiling special needs adoptable children in the hope that they might find permanent homes. In the more than one thousand Mondays since, over 900 children have been introduced.
