Photographer's lens turns to pets

Local photographer Julie Poole never thought she'd go to the dogs, but her love of animals and photography brought her right there.

Horses, dogs, cats, and even rats are frequently the focus of her camera.

Poole just opened a new studio in Rocky Hill, where the critters can pose, or not pose, as the case sometimes may be.

Poole has done a lot of charity work with Young Williams Animal Center and dog rescue groups and brings her keen eye and shrill squeaks to a show ring near you.

Now don't think that Poole only likes to photograph animals--she has a bunch of happy brides and families to count among the pleased.
