Thriller first aired on MTV nearly 20 years ago and revolutionized the way music videos were made.
The video mixed Jackson's amazing dance moves with director John Landis' masterful approach to making tongue-in-cheek horror films. The result was a 14 minute frightfest that has since become a classic.
Since it's release, a Halloween hasn't passed that someone somewhere hasn't played Thriller or it's video. Just hearing the beat gets folks up and out on the dance floor and now, thanks to the YouTube generation, there are many different videos online featuring regular folks dancing as if it were the 1980's all over again.
They dance the dance at parties, at weddings, even prisoners in the Phillippines do it. Now, a Canadian woman is hoping the dance will put her in record books.
