Nine additional episodes of Mom, The Millers and The Crazy Ones have been ordered, the network said Friday. Added to the customary 13-episode commitment for new shows, each will have enough for the 2013-14 season.
The Crazy Ones, starring Robin Williams as an ad exec, is fall's top new comedy, averaging 13.7 million viewers through last week. The Millers, a family comedy starring Will Arnett, Margo Martindale and Beau Bridges that's sandwiched between The Big Bang Theory and Crazy Ones on Thursdays, is averaging 12.4 million. And Mom, the fourth CBS comedy from creator Chuck Lorre, is drawing 8 million on Mondays.
A fourth new comedy, We Are Men, was canceled after two episodes. CBS' only other new entry, serialized drama Hostages, is struggling in the middle of a planned 15-episode season, with Intelligence, a new drama starring Josh Holloway, due to replace it come January.
