Garth Brooks adds additional Nashville shows

The country music legend will now play 7 shows in Nashville to close out his comeback tour this December.

Earlier this month, Garth Brooks announced that he'd close out his three-year North American tour by playing Bridgestone Arena with Trisha Yearwood on Dec. 16.

Friday morning, the reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year added additional Bridgestone shows — on Dec. 9, 10, 15 and 17 — to his schedule.

Tickets (which were available through ticketmaster.com/garthbrooks) for all concerts went quickly, so on Friday afternoon, Brooks tweeted, ""Nashville, UNBELIEVABLE turnout!!! Thank YOU, I owe you another show!!!"

Two more shows, on Dec. 22-23, have been added as well.

Brooks launched his comeback tour in Rosemont, Ill., in September of 2014. Since then, the tour has sold more than 6.3 million tickets, making it the biggest North American tour in history.
