Young Marines helped break ground at a new Memorial on Sunday.
It will pay tribute to families who made sacrifices during war.
World War two veteran and Medal of Honor recipient Hershel "Woody" Williams spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony.
The new structure will be called the "Gold Star Family Memorial."
This is the sixth monument Williams has dedicated across the country.
The memorial will be at the East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on Governor John Sevier Highway.
Williams set up the "Gold Star Family Memorial" to honor families who have lost sons or daughters in battle.
"We honor veterans very, very well. But the family of those who are left behind, those are the families we want to honor with these monuments. To say to them, we are not going to forget their sacrifice" said Medal of Honor recipient Hershel "Woody" Williams.
The first Gold Star Family Memorial Monument was established in West Virginia in 2013.
