Vols check in at No. 19 in latest AP Poll

A lackluster Saturday finds Tennessee dropping in the national polls for the second straight week.

The Tennessee men's basketball took a dip in the national polls Monday, dropping to No. 19 in the nation.

The ranking comes after the Vols' 73-62 defeat at the hands of unranked Georgia on the road Saturday. The Vols beat South Carolina earlier in the week, with Tuesday's 70-67 win in Knoxville.

The Vols (19-7, 9-6 SEC) were previously ranked No. 18 by the AP Poll, and 17th by the USA Today Coaches Poll.

No. 12 Auburn is the only other SEC team in this week's poll.

UT is currently in the hunt for its 21st NCAA Tournament appearance in program history, and its first since 2014. The team has four conference games remaining before postseason play begins.

Tennessee will host the Florida Gators for a 9 p.m. tip-off Wednesday. The game will be broadcasted on ESPN2.
