Knoxville company rings bell at NYSE

(WBIR) Knoxville company rang the opening bell at the New York Stock exchange Thursday morning.

Provectus Biopharmaceuticals opened trading on Wall Street that morning.

The Knoxville-based company develops advanced therapies for cancer, specifically melanoma, breast cancer and cancers of the liver. The company started in 2002 and began trading on the market May 16, 2014 under the ticker, "PVCT."
