It's back to school time in Tennessee. If you haven't had a chance to buy school supplies, this weekend you can get them tax free.

Many stores around the area are prepared for a big rush of customers as tax-free weekend kicks off Friday.

School supplies, clothing and computers are all tax free in Tennessee this weekend. But there are some limitations on what's tax free and what's not.

The tax exemption will run from 12:01 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 1 until Sunday, Aug. 3 at 11:59 p.m. The good news - you don't have to be a student or buying for a student to cash in on the tax-free deals.

What's tax free?

1. Clothing that costs $100 or less per item. Jewelry and handbags are not included.

2. Computers that cost $1,500 or less, including laptops and tablets.

3. All school and art supplies with a $100 price tag or less per item are tax free.

What's not tax free?
