Making it count: UT ranks among elite colleges for CPAs

(WBIR - Knoxville) The University of Tennessee has been rated among the best schools in the country when it comes to students passing the Certified Public Accountant Exam (CPA).

The ratings, done by the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy, ranked UT 26th in the country out of 787 schools. That puts the university in the top 3 percent of all schools.

In comparison to other large programs, UT ranked 11th out of 262, or the top 4 percent. Large programs are considered those that had at least 50 candidates take the test in 2013.

The NASBA compiled the rankings by using data from the scores of students who took the exam for the first time.
