You must be really, REALLY bored to read my bio. I'll try and make it somewhat interesting for you...

I joined the ranks at WBIR-TV in April 2010 as a general assignment reporter. Currently I work for our evening and late newscasts. Yes, that involves a lot of caffeine.

Before coming to Knoxville, I was the weekend anchor/reporter for WDTV, the CBS affiliate in my hometown of Bridgeport, WV. It was a position I had while earning my bachelors and masters degrees at the P.I. Reed School of Journalism at West Virginia University. I also served as a part-time bureau reporter for KDKA-TV, another CBS affiliate in Pittsburgh. (Maybe that's where the caffeine addition started.)

During my time in East Tennessee and in 'West By God,' I was honored by the Tennessee Associated Press, the Hearst Foundation, and the Society of Professional Journalists. Also in my reporting career, I went live for MSNBC and The Weather Channel. Seriously, they put THIS face on national television. I guess they'll put anyone on TV...

While I admit I don't take myself too seriously, I do love my job and work with some remarkable journalists at 10News. Every person on the team adheres to the tagline "Straight from the Heart," and it's a honor to share a newsroom with them every day.

Whenever you catch me out on a story, come say hi... and remember, it's "Beu-TAIR-rah."  Practice a few times, you'll get it soon enough.
