This week's Monday's Child has big plans for his future: Santo, 16, dreams of a career in the NFL.
But before he can get there, his immediate hope is to be adopted.
Santo is a well-behaved, energetic, and respectful young man with a bright, warm smile. Those who know him best say Santo is a child who is determined. Adults are often impressed by his good manners and his ability to get along with just about everyone.
He forms trusting relationships quickly with adults and peers.
His favorite position on the football team is wide receiver, although sometimes he lines up at running back. The problem is he hasn't played much with an organized team, because he has had to move so many times, changing schools over and over.
Santo would hope for a home with a mom and dad, and a big brother and a little brother. He'd love to teach that little brother how to play football.
Santo's adoptive family needs to be able to care for his emotional needs, and that family should include a positive male figure who can become his hero.
