Now that Halloween is over we'll start to see a lot more at the video store geared for Christmas including a big box of "toys" this week.
Raphael Seth explains in this week's Video View.
Woody and the gang get a new home in "Toy Story 3." With their owner Andy going off to college, the toys are given to a daycare center. But they discover their retirement is more like hard labor under a tyranical pink bear. So they plan their escape to get back home. "Toy Story 3" is also included as part of a Toy Story trilogy boxed set due out this week. It's a ten-disc combo pack including all three Toy Story movies and loads of bonus features.
Old blue eyes returns to the stage in "The Frank Sinatra Concert Collection." This seven disc set features over 14 hours of vintage tv and concert footage spanning 30 years of the crooner's career.
Also from a bygone era, the family classic "Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang" is remastered for Blu Ray. This 1968 musical stars Dick van Dyke as an absent-minded professor, and inventor of the most fantasmagorical car ever. This version includes extras such as a sing-along with the Toot Sweet Symphony.
HBO's miniseries "The Pacific" gets a DVD pressing. This world war two epic is based on the true stories of three marines who fought against the Japanese on tiny islands and remote outposts. Similar to the "Band of Brothers" series, "The Pacific" has Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg among its producers.
