Officers find shoplifters with $22,000 in stolen merchandise

Officials have busted a group of shoplifters responsible for stealing more than $20,000 dollars from multiple stores in different states.

Investigators with the Sevierville Police said they received a call from the Coach store at the Tanger Outlet Mall in Sevierville.

Clerks at the store were able to give officers a description of the car the suspects left in. After a short search, officers stopped the car in Pigeon Forge and found $22,000 worth of merchandise from several different states across the south.

Officers found four people from different states inside of the car: 47-year-old Issac Becton from Myrtle Beach, SC; 21-year-old  
Laquisha Frazier from Beayfort, NC; 50-year-old Regina John from Macon, GA; and 49-year-old Belinda Oliver from Conway, SC.

All four are now in the Sevier County Jail with theft warrants of more than $7,000.
