Former Tennessee football player and Maryville Rebel Aaron Douglas signed with the University of Alabama.
Douglas' family told WBIR that he signed his papers Thursday evening. Douglas was planning to visit Oregon this weekend, but decided to go ahead and commit to the Tide.
Douglas left Tennessee after the 2009 season for personal reasons. The offensive tackle played at Arizona Western College last season. He will have two year of eligibility remaining at Alabama.
Douglas comes from long line of Tennessee tradition. His father David Douglas was an offensive lineman at UT in the mid-1980's. He mother Karla played for the Lady Vols basketball team and was on Pat Summitt's first national championship team.
