Hundreds of people took a trip back in time on Sunday as they explores a recreation of what some believe the city of Bethlehem might have looked like the night Jesus Christ was born.
The "Walk-Thru Bethlehem" was organized by the Church Street United Methodist Church in Knoxville.
The event features volunteers in period costumes who wander the city streets as a living nativity scene. "It kind of takes the hub-bub, the hectic part of Christmas away and puts a little bit back, some of the authenticity and reality of what the first Christmas might have been like," explained Sue Isbell of the Church Street United Methodist Church.
This year's event was the 14th year.
