Tennessee senior tight end Luke Stocker became the first Volunteer chosen in the 2011 draft when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers chose him in the fourth round.
During a draft in which Southeastern Conference players were chosen early and often, including 5 of the top 6 picks, no Tennessee player's name was called until the Bucs took Stocker with the 104th overall selection.
Stocker had 39 catches for Tennessee in 2010, placing him third on the squad. He was also the only Vol to catch a pass in every game.
Tampa Bay already has a star tight end in Kellen Winslow, so Stocker will likely serve as a backup and in two-tight end formations.
