Two men were taken to UT Medical Center with injuries while working on a construction project at Smoky Mountain Christian Camp.
According to the camp director, Billy Clark, a group from Powell Church came in to do a construction project as a mission for the camp.
Camp Managers were working on the project with the church members. During the process, there was a breakdown in some of the materials close to 7:15 p.m.
The group was building a log gymnasium when the accident happened. Clark said material being used for construction of the gymnasium collapsed causing the two men to fall.
Both the camp director's son Billy, the camp manager, and one of the male adult counselors, P.J. Miller, were injured.
Billy Clark remains in stable condition after being flown to UT Medical Center while P.J. Miller was treated and released.
The camp is hoping the accident will not impact its activities.
