Two face charges after victim allegedly robbed by man impersonating officer

Two face charges after an alleged robbery at the Hamilton Inn near Downtown. 

According to the Knoxville Police Department, a victim told officers he called an escort service and was told to meet the escort at the inn off of Ailor Avenue. 

After the woman, Amanda Ray, let the man into the room, a second person beat on the door and said he was a Knoxville Police Officer.

When the victim opened the door, the suspect, Jackie Ray Junior, came into the room and started to go through the victim's clothing. The victim was disrobed. 

The suspect then pushed the victim out in the hallway and showed a weapon. Both the woman and the male suspect ran from the scene. According to the victim, the pair took between $2,000 and $4,000.

Jackie Ray Junior faces charges for aggravated robbery, impersonating a police office and facilitation of prostitution. Amanda Ray faces charges for aggravated robbery, solicitation and impersonating a professional. No injuries were reported.
