I started my journey at WBIR in November 2010. Currently, I report for 10News Today bright and early in the morning. I try to wake you up in the morning and bring you the latest events, news, and just fun happing that day! You may also see me fill-in on the anchor desk a time or two!

I hail from the suburbs of St. Louis, Missouri. I grew up there along with my two older sisters. I graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Journalism. I also have a minor in Psychology. While there, I worked for KOMU in Columbia, Missouri. Upon graduation I headed to Pennsylvania. For two years, I was a reporter in the Altoona/Johnstown/State College market. I was a bureau reporter in State College. My next stop was in West Palm Beach, Florida. I delivered the news for three years there and enjoyed the sunny weather! Now, life has brought me and my husband to Knoxville! Go Vols!

My passion for journalism started when I was in high school. My Sunday School teacher was (and is) a news anchor in St. Louis. She inspired me to follow my love of talking and asking questions, also known as, a reporter!

I have covered all sorts of stories, and no one type is my favorite. One I can't soon forget is when I covered Tropical Storm Fay in South Florida. It wasn't just one story, but a series of them. When the storm hit, I was one of those people out in the middle of it. I didn't sleep for days. I met the most interesting people and was able to tell their story of frustration and loss. When the storm hit, I was driving in the middle of the pouring rain when a tornado also hit (a side effect of the rainy weather.) I rushed to the scene and went live on air with the damage. For days, I traveled all over. It was sad to see so much devastation, but to be able to talk to people and get their story out made me feel as if I was helping in some way.

I will also never forget covering the NASA shuttle launches. In the months leading up to the final flights, I was able to be live and watch history happen.

I love to scrapbook! My oldest sister got me into it! I also like to run, catch up on my favorite television shows, and travel with my husband.

We love to call Knoxville home and I love bringing you stories that are "Straight from the Heart!"
