A Hixson man is dead Saturday following a fatal car accident in McMinn County.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said the accident happened on State Highway 39 in Englewood in McMinn County just before 3:30 a.m. Saturday.
Troopers said the victim, 80-year-old Larry Lambert, was driving a Jeep Wranger when he braked, skidded into a curb and over-corrected. This sent his SUV off the roadway and into an embankment.
THP said Lambert was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at Woods Memorial Hospital.
