When we went up to the LumberJack Feud in Pigeon Forge on opening day, somehow I knew I'd be back.
Of course, I figured it would be to watch the show, not be a show. Ha.
Photographer JJ and I went up and met some of the "performers." These folks are not just talented. They are very athletic.
We met Zach and two other performers who were nice enough to go through the steps with us. Yeah, I'm pretty sure I am very happy now that I brought a change of clothes.
They ran over the boom, I'm pretty sure if I had even stepped on that I would have been in the drink in record time.
So Zach Brown and I had a little chat.. yes, his name is Zach Brown.. yes, I did ask where the band was. Just for the record, he's a smarty pants lumberjack.
I went into the LumberJill room and changed into my shirt and hat.. I wish they would have given me a cool toboggan instead of a shiny pithe helmet that made me stand out as the new kid. Or maybe they just had me wear it so they could find me in the bottom of the pool.
Did I mention that "someone" brought over an innertube for me to wear? I guess the DE water wings were in my other bag.
Time to roll.. yeah one step on and **splash** into the water I went.. I am actually suprised I did not come right back out.. That water is FREEZING!!
Back on dry land with my wet jeans, I try again..this time sans innertube. It was so weighing me down.
Yep.. that wasn't it. Listen I could go through every single up and down I had during my rolling time. But I'm pretty sure that the internet does not have enough space for that and you probably have to get ready for Thanksgiving. So suffice it to say, I think I might have stayed up for a total of 5 seconds, unless you added all my time up, then it was probably 20.
