Just minutes after investigators believe two men broke into a west Knox County home and beat the homeowner, a Knox County Sheriff's deputy had them in custody.

According to the Knox County Sheriff's Office, 52 year old Ronald Hayduke returned to his house at 9706 Middlebrook Pike on Tuesday morning and found a black car in the driveway. As he unlocked the door, two men pulled him in and beat him on the face, then forced him into the bathroom where they told him to wait until they left.

When the two men fled, Hayduke called 911.

Officer Glenn Simerly spotted the suspects' car on Lovell Road eight minutes later and pulled them over. Rusty Ott, 23, of Knoxville, is now charged with aggravated burglary with a bond of $12,500 and aggravated kidnapping with a bond of $18,000.  Danny Capps, 29, of Knoxville is charged with simple assault with a bond of $1,300, aggravated burglary with bond set at $15,000 and aggravated kidnapping with a bond of $21,000. Ott has been arrested previously for theft and burglary. Capps has spent time in prison for aggravated burglary.

Rural Metro treated Hayduke at the scene for his injuries. He was not transported to a hospital.
