An arrest has been made in the death of a Jefferson County man who went missing after a hunting trip.
Steve Buchanan was last seen in July 2010. His family said he had played pools with some buddies one night, then planned to go coon hunting the next day. His two hunting dogs disappeared along with him.
Buchanan's remains were found in New Market in February 2011.
District Attorney General Jimmy Dunn told 10News on Thursday that Ashley Brent Vannatter was indicted by a Jefferson County grand jury on Wednesday for first degree murder charges in Buchanan's death.
Vannatter, who was from Kodak, is in custody in the Jefferson County jail. He was previously being held in the Sevier County jail on unrelated charges.
His arraignment is set for January 11.
